Virtual Exhibition on the Culture of the Sogdians

Presentation of the Gatchina Venus after restoration

On 16 April 2019, in the Hall of the Hellenistic Era in the New Hermitage, the sculpture known as the Gatchina Venus was presented after restoration. The ancient art work from the 3rd–2nd century BC was restored with the financial support of the pharmaceutical company Gedeon Richter.
